Alien Head Comics is going to be at Space 2010

Alien Head Comics is going to be at Space again this year and we're wicked pumped about it. Every year I'm there I meet some of the coolest people and get to have great conversations with creative types who love what they do. I've never seen a gathering of so many people who put their heart and soul – and money – into creating these amazing comic books and drawings and paintings and games and t-shirts and...well you get the idea. So, look for us there. We'll have issues of Blood and Justice, Dreams, Like the Stars, Do Shine, XII and some sweet new posters. I'll also be previewing my new DVD teaching indie comic book creators how to...well...maybe you'll just have to keep watching the website for hints on that.

Here's a nice little perk...when I published my book of short stories last year through iUniverse, it went out with 72 “minor” editing errors. Keeping in mind that I actually paid people to edit the dang thing – something I'm horrible at – I was a bit peeved. The plus side it, I have about 12 copies of it to sell at 50% off (absolutely no profit to me) just to get my work out there, as long as people can stomach the “minor” editing issues. So look for Olyanna's Dream at our booth in April!

Gabe, GC and I are looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces and meeting some new people, too. My wife will be coming this year, and it'll be my 1 year old son's first Space. We're working really hard to give him all the support he needs to become as big a geek as his mom and dad. Space will be his second con. We took him to Comic Con San Diego last year and he was happier than any kid I've ever seen. Three tips for Comic Con San Diego. 1. Get a baby. 2. Get a Yoda hat. 3. Put the Yoda hat on the baby. The rest will work itself out on its own.
